He’s Not Always Like This

You’re not the only thing in your orbit anymore
But you’d never catch that with a still life of us
Sullen eyebrows and penny drop silences
Hypnotised spouses and distress signals
I try to break through the atmosphere with choking
Inquires and concerns squeeze through a closed windpipe
But I get the feedback of a crackle in a crash site
We’re joint at the hip, but I’m so alone

I make the same impact entering your vicinity
That a knock knock joke makes at a funeral
The disinterest is making me dip dye into madness
Nothing baits it more then your own thoughts echoing off the wall
I need to start taking chemistry on the side
Cos I don’t know which formula hidden in the air
Turns my cries for help into a defensive reaction from you
Each outstretched arm like a knife in your hide
Each yearn for affection; a threat to your precarious ego
Not when your bacon is smeared on these support beams
The change of oil, scented candles, a premium dota account
Like fuck should I dare take that way from you
So I guess I’ll sit back and take in the atmosphere
We locked ourselves in here, but I’m still so alone

I just really like you
About as much as you’ve become sick of me
I keep liking you more and more
Maybe at the same rate of you become weary of me
We’re on route to be betrothed, but I’m so alone

I miss giving rasberries on your neck
I miss tickling the inside of your palms
I miss neglecting the stars for a full view of you
I really like you, but I’m so alone

Now I have no idea where I am
Leaving a leeches impression on his neck
Leaving a tally with my nails on the toilet cubical
I feel weird
My skin feels like it’s peeling off my arms
As he runs his fingers down my silhouette
My spit feels foreign, My tears feel like waste
And as I whisper worship to him, he breathes life into me
I don’t know him and he can do it, anyone can
Anyone who isn’t you can breathe life into me
I don’t like him, but now I feel I’m in reality again
I feel so weird

I can’t stand missing you, when I see you everyday
I reek of substance and perspiration
But it’s still not enough to raise an octave out of you
A nod, a twitch if I’m lucky, and then back to null
I feel super weird, I feel like I wanna die
I take his 50 and your old parka
I take anything I call my own into a bag
I dodge tear stains and haste together a cliff note
“Fuck you
Anyone could do it and you choose not too
Just fuck you!”
I jump into his car and make a dive out of your field
You’re the only thing in your orbit now
But did you even notice anything different
Can anyone else do it too?
Now I’m across the toll booth
I feel so fucking weird
Now I’m really alone
And now I don’t know what I feel…

Depressed Again (Thankfully) [Scribbles]

She kept on beat with the pen on her board
She takes one look and decrees “We need to make this stop”
Do you mean return to the persona of lost youth
A little lost flicker in the wind starry eyed an gleaming
With no capabilities then to express the twee between the trees
Met with all the welcome and warmth of a death row inmate

We’d never admit it but the world can’t accept that purity
In the vicious waters of stasis we can’t relate to immaturity
Like an intruder in our home we reject it’s presence
Restrain it against the chair and make it experience penance

The world wears a smile and stay happy attitude
But nothing could be farther from the truth
They want to see you on the edge
They want to see you relatable
I’ve never felt more accepted
Then when I’ve felt the least healthy here…

Snap Out Of It!

Those are some niiiiice D.I.Y walls
Gratified with paddys and tantrums
Covered with a moat of slat water
Making a mountain out of a molehill
For those delivering a pat on the back
A snap of the ear drum echoing through the throne room
Of should be’s a could off’s
Geez why would anyone bother?

You see, glee in it’s best form is like a magnet
Captivating those looking for it’s pull
No one gets energy from a sour mug
Maybe in a better world they’d come with the sirens
But my friend this is a broken world
So pucker up, a scarecrow job isn’t to attract
So stick your feelers out and suckle from all your fortunes
Cos right now your like a MRA in the MRI
Taking a jaw’s worth from your allies
No one here to help, just to elate

So blast the strobes on the fort walls
Fill the moat with spirits
Invites the whole world in
Cos isolation starts with an airtight portal
Snap out of it

Irrelevant

Oh I’ve never felt so irrelevant in my life
Like a Scooby Doo sticker covered in fluff under the settee
Stuck gathering moss under the covers of the shadows
It’s been so bleeding long since I’ve set foot out here
With the humans, the social, the cultures, the oxygen
I can’t begin to relate to the models parading the streets
The pubs don’t sell my drink anymore
The bars don’t play my songs anymore
No one says ‘kicking about’ anymore
I don’t belong on the outside anymore

But I can’t stay secluded anymore
All my old roommates have left the couch by now
Not content with the dust they’ve entered their cocoons
Metamorphosed into a Footballer’s sticker
Paraded among many a child’s collection world wide over
I can only seem to shift into a Street Sharks set
At least it was warm under the chairs
On the streets, it’s cold and wet and full of dog piss

I remember the old days, the glory, the infamy
A heard of smiling faces to my left
A horde of sneering mugs to my right
Not even a eyebrow lift as a enter the room
They don’t welcome unfamiliarity
“That’s not the way WE have fun these days
Fun is experienced in this shape and form twat!”
They heckle and spill drinks on your shirt till you leave

I’m 22, not a 35 year old Bhs sales man
Unaware of the ways of the young hearts
Truffle Shuffling to the Harlem Shake
What happened? When did everyone get so cold
When did everyone stop having fun
When did I get so Irrelevant?

I’m Content

Oh I’m feeling so bloody content
Oh I’m feeling so bloody content
All my riches snug in one arm
Another lover nestled in the other
Feeding of the spoils
Of a nice hard days work
I’m so content
I’m so content

Happy, Smiley, Bubble, Gummy
Their’s no reason to feel like anything else

Keep your chin up
A stiff upper lip
You’ve got your future ahead of you
Choices spread out like a buffet
You can climb to the platinum towers
Make your babysitters so proud
But instead your so content
But you got to stay content

Cheery, Happy, Lubby, Dubby
Their’s no reason not to feel so very happy

But can’t you see past your own sloth?
My motions are bleeding from the heart
My language translates to cries of agony
I have no will to stick around in reality
I can hardly keep my eyes awake
I’m gulping and gasping for air
Their’s no reason to feel so content
No fucking reason to be content

But their’s no need to worry
Because I’m so content
No need to hide me from the neighbours
No reason to leave me out of the xmas letter
Don’t fret mummy every things fine
Don’t roll your eyes anymore daddy
Can’t you see I’m smiling?
Can’t you see I’m so content?

Blubbly, Subby, Druddly, Mahonegy
Anything not to be called ungrateful again

There’s nothing to conduct the flood
No their won’t be no quiet mutilation this time
I can’t carry out a single motion
I can’t articulate a single word
Bouncing your suggestions and terms
Back to the realm of spite that created them
No need to hang around this realm
When their’s no way to be content

An Innocent Enquiry

168 hours feels just like a few minutes
Spent staring at the hieroglyphics on a plastered wall
Laying with the company of plates of unfinished dinners
Tea stains on the bed, sauce stains on my shirts
Seeing the opportunity to cleanse their karma
People came and went and recited lines
From a prepared scripted emulating admiration
That was never there back when the woman took in air

I was still clutching my hands to that old DS
Bruising of the D-Pad etched into my fingers
Still on the same save file as I was that week
I never averted my eyes from the display
I couldn’t bare the images of them carrying you out
To be scarred into my mind every time I look at the stairs
I couldn’t bare the thought of acknowledging this
As the world outside this screen, with the way things are

They wanted me to come back to the world of outside
But what wonders could possibly be out there now?
I hear the moans of the spoilt lobe stretched army
Caressing the creases of a spare 10 pound note
When the anniversaries of their mothers birth rolled around
They don’t know what it is they really have

I hear boring boys prepared to put there lives on the line
All for the vine, for the retweet, for the reblog
They want to make there families feel how I feel now
They don’t know what it is they’re really doing
I hear the cries of distressed souls bleeding from their hearts
Playing roulette with the choice of life or the choice of death
The kinds of choices people have taken out of their cold hands
They don’t know what it is they’re throwing away

Even when you came back to class
We couldn’t help but notice an absence
What happened to the boy we used to know?
Who was this corpse that now carries your name?
We asked why it was you never spoke anymore
We wondered why you weren’t as funny as you used to be
You couldn’t even muster the will to crack a smile
Let alone crack a joke

Only the few of us that had the nerve to gossip knew
While collecting scraps of the article you left behind
Oh we didn’t know what we were saying to you
What could we say to a boy like you?
You carried yourself between the corridors
Like you were being carried by the breeze
Your body may have been alongside us
But I don’t think you were ever really there

Take It In Your Stride

A simple request I’m sure for a pair of young lovers
But I wouldn’t dare articulate the tar that ruins my face
I can sympathize with your perspective darling
It’s a horrible sight to see your lover writhe in the night
But a young loner can’t open the gates to hell
To an audience who are staring at their own reflection

I understand that your first world is ending
The milks gone bad and the dog won’t stop barking
So let me run upstairs and lock the door tight
Grab the utensils and take it all in my stride

Not even a month in and I’m sure you want answers?
Why during the perfect picturesque winter dates
I choose to drop all the smiles and head on home
Oh darling I’d love to drop all my defences and let it go
The way memories slip from my mind like loose change on the floor
The way my emotions ricochet of every word you say
The way I’ve lost the colours from my world, that I may of never had
But I know you’d ignore every word I say, when your phone’s on the fritz

I understand that your first world is ending
Your dad’s making you walk the mutt again
So let me run upstairs and lock the door tight
Grab the utensils and take it all in my stride

Oh it’s a two way street
Knowledge given
Needs a ear to receive
I know where your priorities lie
And they aren’t with me, not yet
I’ve done damn fine keeping things
All to myself
Don’t get upset when
I decide to tighten the lips
You’ve got to earn these truths
If you can’t work for it
I can’t put up with it

I understand that your first world is ending
Jenny called you fat again
So let me run upstairs and lock the door tight
Grab the utensils and take it all in my stride

Summer (Set)

The worse thing imaginable has come to pass
The sun as it seems has started to fall
And with it comes a sudden chill down my spine
That can only signify the nights arrival
And with it descends the frightening reality
That you’ll be spending another night alone

Hey what’s the rush man? You don’t have work tomorrow
Come on we have so much more to discuss!
Music to compare and dissect
Scenesters to breakdown and rip
Outings to theorize and plan
What could possibly be waiting for you at home?
Come on just one more hour

Oi! Kill the motor guys, what’s the matter with you?
There are much more antics to be had!
Remember the times in the year ‘08?
Grabbing the attention of the 1% through their bells
Then promptly removing the traces that we were ever there?
You couldn’t have any of that back home with your misses!
One more bottle, just one more please
I’m begging you

But now the heard have gone back to the stable
For me? Nah, There’s so much to do!
Think about the life slipping through my fingers
Think all about the landmark moments that are dead and gone
Think about what’s the fucking point anymore?
Only misery and mutilation wait for me back home
But they’ve gone home to fuck their girls
So I have no choice…

Megaten has done it again

If I may have an off-shoot for your regular poetry content I’d like to talk about some of the life lessons and video game named: ‘Shin Megami Tensei: Devil Summoner Raidou Kuzunoha Vs. King Abaddon’ has taught me and maybe speaking about will inspire 1 or 2 of you too

Many kids at our age these days are plagued with misfortune and despair, weather not objectively the volume of their cries coincides with the weight of their aliments matters not. It’s easy to scorn those who writhe in despair who only live to stand directly opposed to your morals and way of living, it’s easy to plunge into despair yourself as a result of their need writhe in their situations, to abandon the mantle you have taken on yourself, a mantle to which you took on because you didn’t want to see people suffer at the hands of misfortune any more. But no matter how endless their strife may seem you can serve as a spark in order to make people stand up and take lives into their own hands and end their madness, even those you act as your polar opposites if you stay strong and refuse to abandon your mantle then you can bring them hope. I abandoned that mantle once and lost a lot of people I cared about, but I shan’t do that again and try and bring hope to as many lives as I can, me ma taught me that and I’m glad some beautiful god damned people from the land of the rising sun made an amazing game to reinforce that lesson. Videogames.

“You have become a witness to this spectacle, abandon the mantle of ‘Raidou’ your actions of hope will only bring despair” – Shadino

It’s Hard

Oh lady i’m starting to get the shivers
As the thunder clouds start to close inn
Blocking the light from your eyes
All to pull that face like a slapped arse
When you see my brain hasn’t sent a single signal
Up this vertebrae of mine
To pick you up from the living room floor
When you’ve spent all day throwing a paddy on top of it

Oh lady I’m finding it hard to pluck at the strings
When I see you’ve nailed your own feet to the ground
When you’ve tied your own hands together
When you’ve taken the bunny sheets from your bed
I just find it hard to care

Oh lady you know I’d suffer a variety of wounds
From a number of firearms all in your name
I’d give you my inner workings just to see you spring alive
But you can put your own plaster on that scrape
And you can tie your shoes just fine

I know you say you can’t do things yourself and your right
Not until after you’ve dealt a sling or to in my direction
To be a villain for the greater good, I guess i’ll play ball
I know it’s your favorite role of mine for a grey day
I’m sure your sisters in arms know all about it
